Review: diddi dance CDs

If you follow me on Instagram or have read my previous post, you will know that we are huge fans of diddi dance – our weekly dance class aimed at preschool age children. We have been attending since April last year and it is safe to say it is the highlight of Ted’s week! He loves the classes – the termly themes, the props but most of all, he LOVES the music. We have been lucky enough to review the diddi dance CDs over the last few weeks and here is what we thought!

The CDs include a mixture of regular songs from the classes – such as the warm up song and the circle dance song – as well as some great tracks from the various themes. We have been listening to the CDs a lot in the car, and Ted has been practising his moves from the comfort of his car seat! It always makes me laugh to watch him stretching his arms out in the back as he sings along. We always listen to the CDs on our way to the class which I have found warms him up – he can sometimes be quite shy at the start of the class but after listening to the songs on the way he is raring to go as soon as we walk in the door.

We also listen to the CDs at home on a rainy day when we can’t get out of the house but we need something fun and active to do – we will have our own little dance session in the lounge. Ted knows all the moves (but insists I join in) and really loves to be able to practise in this way. He frequently asks me to “put dancing music on” and has loved being able to hear the songs whenever he likes. Having the CDs is a really good way to practise the new moves from each dance theme too.

The songs are all really upbeat pop-style music which appeals to young children – but I have to admit I quite enjoy it too! You can often find me singing along with my favourites. The Cds themselves are well presented and contain a decent number of songs making them really good value. Even if you don’t attend a diddi dance class, these CDs can be enjoyed by children of all ages.

If you are interested in joining in the fun, visit the diddi dance website for more information on class locations and where you can purchase these fab CDs!
